Creating a Perfect Community PITCH-IN
Under Mayor Sheila Dixon’s leadership, the Department of Public Works is changing the way you schedule a Community Pitch-in. Effective, November 25, 2008, please call 311 to schedule a Community Pitch-in. This new system allows for better documentation, tracking, accountability, efficiency, reduces use of paper and increases availability to all community groups. Public Works will discontinue mailing request forms.

Leaf Season is Here - Leave the Leaves to Us!
The City will continue annual collection of bagged leaves through the last week of January.
DO:Place bagged leaves out on your SECOND weekly trash collection day – we will collect unlimited bagged leaves on that second collection day.
Keep the gutters around your home clean and clear of leaves and debris -- clogged gutters do not allow proper storm water run off and contribute to flooding - in cold temperatures - this can mean ice on your street!
HOLD THE DATE - December 3, 2008 at 6:00pm.
Please join Mayor Dixon for the Baltimore Sustainability Plan's
Draft Recommendations Presentation.
Frederick Douglas High School - 2301 Gwynns Falls Parkway
The Draft Recommendations represents the culmination of six months of work
and input from over 1,000 citizens across the City of Baltimore.
There will be an opportunity to comment on the recommendations and
ask questions about additional concerns you may have.
