IT’S NOT TOO SOON TO THINK ABOUT TREES AFTER THE HOLIDAYS

What options does Charlie Brown have AFTER Christmas? What can he do with his humble holiday tree? If he were a resident of Baltimore City, he could have it mulched for a garden or a pumpkin patch OR he could put it out on his trash collection day.

DPW’s Bureau of Solid Waste will pick up Christmas trees on your trash collection day starting Tuesday, January 5, 2010 and continue to do so throughout the month. If you prefer to capture the magic of that singular tree and spread the eco-love over your favorite plot of green, take it any Saturday in January to the Citizen Drop-Off location at 701 Reedbird Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Who knows? You might run into the whole peanuts gang when you’re there!
